Angela King

Angela’s coaching and leadership development practice is
largely informed by her work experience, which includes
having spent 16 years in the demanding environments of
Apple Inc., Bain & Co. and Gap Inc. In these organizations,
Angela held various leadership positions and was a strategic
partner of Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents in
special projects and chief of staff capacities.
Angela began her career at Bain & Co. as an Associate
Consultant working with Fortune 500 clients across a wide
variety of industries. In 2000, Angela joined Apple as a
key member of the team who formulated the concept and
launched Apple Retail Stores.
In her career, Angela experienced and witnessed firsthand
the difficulties that leaders encounter on an everyday basis:
the intense demands, vast array of challenges, the constant
stress, and the weight of an entire organization relying on
the leader to set an inspiring vision, build the best possible
strategy and to lead the team to execute it.
For the last four years, Angela has run her consulting and
private coaching practice in San Francisco. During this
time, Angela has worked one-on-one with individuals and
with teams in the corporate sphere. In addition, Angela has
worked with many entrepreneurs who are in various stages of
launching and growing their own businesses.

Angela has also been asked to speak at several women’s
groups in both the technology and consulting industries.
These women’s groups have been interested in hearing
from Angela about her experiences of working successfully
as a woman in demanding companies in predominantly
male-dominated industries and her ability to sustain high
performance levels throughout her career.
Whether Angela is working with individuals, leaders or with
teams, she is leveraging her skills as a strategy consultant, her
years of experience as a leader and the invaluable training she
has received in becoming certified as an Integral Coach®.

Angela brings the skills of a strategy consultant, the front-
line leadership experience in retail and technology, and the

integral training of a coach. She has been practicing yoga and
meditation for over 17 years. She credits these practices as
the foundational support which enabled her to sustain high
performance levels throughout her career.
Angela received her undergraduate degree in Psychology
from Scripps College, The Women’s College at Claremont.
In addition to her Integral Coach® certification, she is also
a certified ISTHA yoga instructor.
