Cindy Marteney

An experienced executive coach, Cindy Marteney is known for creating trust and momentum with high-profile clients, who value her strategic focus, clarity, and supportive presence as they navigate major opportunities and changes in work and life. She has worked extensively with leaders in the high tech, engineering services, health care, academic medicine, and professional services sectors.

Cindy specializes in helping clients move vision into action, navigate difficult conversations, and understand and work with the non-verbal elements of leadership.

Her clients include leaders at IBM, Sun Microsystems, Cisco, Clorox, Children’s Miracle Network, Novo Nordisk IT, Philips, McDonald’s, BluEra, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the University of Utah’s School of Medicine and the University of Iowa’s College of Medicine.

Today, Cindy regularly offers workshops on Coaching: Evoking Excellence in Others, Conversations That Matter, and An Integral Approach to Personal Branding.

Previously, Cindy has held leadership positions in consulting services at Lotus/IBM, a variety of systems integrators and software services companies, and a nutritional products company. She has an M.A. in Political Science from the Claremont Graduate University.

Cindy is a certified Integral Coach® and has served on the faculty for coaching certification programs through New Ventures West. She is also a certified Somatic Leadership Coach through the Strozzi Institute, which brings distinctions from aikido together with leadership conversations to produce skillful action.

She draws inspiration from competitive sports, chess, and the arts, which all require dedicated practice to achieve mastery. She has studied for years with the Enneagram Institute and regularly helps leaders explore the communication and conflict management strategies for each of the Enneagram’s nine personality types.

Cindy lives in Copenhagen, Denmark and continues to work regularly with clients in North America.
